Hello and welcome to our terms & conditions. Although (for most) this might not be a really exciting part of our website, it is a handy resource to reference from time to time. Ordering Online

In a nutshell: When you order with us, your data is safe and we’ll confirm when your order is placed and when it’s sent out to you.

By placing an order on our website, you sign up to a customer account (which you have to be 18 or over to do). By doing this, you agree to giving us this information:

Your real name

Your email address

Your billing address

A delivery address (which might be the same as your billing address)

A contact number (in case we need to give you a call about your order)

When it comes to your data, you can be assured that it will only be used in line with our privacy policy .

When you’re ready to complete your order, you’ll be taken to the check out page where you’ll be able to select your delivery method (and your billing/shipping address), apply any discount codes (you lucky thing!) and include your payment method.

Once you’ve placed an order, you’ll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, and then one within 24 hours of your order being sent to you. We’ll include tracking details in the second email so you know when your sustainable beauty picks will be with you.

If you order something that’s out of stock (or a mistake is made either by a person or technology), we’ll get in touch with you asap via your contact email to arrange next steps (whether it’s a replacement, a refund, or a different delivery date)

 

Payment & Security

In a nutshell: You can pay by card or PayPal and we fully comply by Data Protection laws.

When you make an order, we hold the following information:

● Financial Information, including bank account and payment card details

● Transaction Information, including details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX. We also accept PayPal payments. We do not accept cheques or payments over the phone. Payment will be taken in GB pounds (£), and if applicable, your card will be charged according to the exchange rate at that time.

Marketing and Communications information: how we use your information - to send you information via email, SMS, post or online about our products and services. Online advertising may include targeting banners and ads to you on other websites and apps using information we hold about you or your activity on the Beauty Kitchen website or on previous adverts.

Complaints

In a nutshell: Let us know if something’s not right and we’ll do our best to get it fixed.

We’re all about making things right, so if something goes wrong, we always go out of our way to get it fixed.

Delivery

In a nutshell: We deliver to the UK and Europe using reliable postage services. We can’t be held responsible for events beyond our control.

 

For UK Deliveries

We offer DPD Carbon Neutral Delivery Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery (£4.95 or free for orders above £49) with tracking details so you know when to stay in and wait for your local Postman (or ask a very friendly neighbour to look after your parcel for you).

Your order should arrive within 2-3 working days from when you receive an email to tell you that the order has been despatched.

For EU Deliveries

We can ship orders within the EU from the UK website using International Track Post (£9.95). This will include full tracking details of your parcel so you know when to expect it to arrive.

If your order hasn’t arrived, please get in touch with our team on info@beautykitchen.co.uk and we’ll sort this for you.

So that we can deliver your order to you, we will provide your details to our couriers and postal service providers that deliver your order.

 

Events beyond our control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).

A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes but is not limited to:

● Strikes or other industrial action.

● Civil commotion, terrorism or threat of, war or threat or preparation for.

● Fire, explosion, adverse weather conditions, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.

● Disruption to supplies or delivery methods.

● Acts of government or regulatory bodies.

● Disruption to public or private telecommunications networks.

 

Returns

In a nutshell: We deal with returns on a case-by-case basis - please get in touch with us to let us know if you’d like to return something.

If you need to return a product to us, please contact us with a note of your order number which you can find on your order confirmation email and let us know if there was anything wrong with it. We will get back to you to arrange for you to return the product to us. You can contact us here.

 

The Contract

In a nutshell: You buy products, we confirm the order, then send them to you.

After placing your order you will receive an order confirmation email. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm acceptance to you by confirming that your order has been dispatched.

If we do not confirm acceptance we will refund your payment and likewise, if we believe a customer acts against these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or suspend their order. This includes non-payment of ordered products and fraudulent use of our website and/or sales.

Once we accept your order, a contract to purchase and deliver products takes effect between you and Beauty Kitchen. You pay the sum that you see on the checkout page, together with the delivery (unless it’s free with an order above £25). When you receive your order you will be charged for the products and the delivery costs.

From that point, you’re responsible for taking care of your new sustainable beauty products!

By ordering from our website, you agree not to commercially resell any of our products. Commercially reselling our products is a breach of these terms and conditions and your agreement with us.

 

Prices & VAT

Our prices, as stated on our website, are in pound sterling (£) and include VAT, where applicable. You will be charged in pounds sterling even if you don't live in the UK. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time.

Where you have requested delivery to a UK or EU address, the price paid for the product will usually include VAT at the applicable rate, and the applicable amount of VAT will be shown on your email sales notification.

In a nutshell: We may collect web traffic cookies to understand how you use our website and for marketing activity.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

 

Variation

We may vary these terms from time to time. If we do we will replace these terms on our website with our new terms.

 

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Scottish law and the courts of Scotland shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Subscriptions

  • Customers that subscribe to the ‘Subscription Service’ will receive their recurring subscription order delivered within the specified recurrent time. Payment for your first and second orders are payable at full product price with no discount applicable, other than the subscription saving.  
  • All ‘Subscription Service’ orders will qualify for free delivery if the order meets our “free delivery” threshold. For example, if we are offering free delivery over orders above £39 for UK delivery, and your subscription price meets this, you will get free delivery. 
  • Any subscription amendments must be made before 11:59pm the day before your next order is due to be processed. Any cancellation requests received after this time will apply to your next subscription delivery. You will be notified when your next order is due 72 hours prior, via the email contact you made your original order with. 
  • When starting your subscription, your first order will be delivered within 5 working days from your order date, in line with our Standard Delivery timings, subject to stock availability. Further amendments can then be made via My Account. 
  • Subscription deliveries will be dispatched at the time interval selected when setting up the subscription or as close as possible to the same calendar day. We reserve the right to amend or change this date. If changes are made, we will contact you using the email address linked to your subscription account beforehand. Subscription timings can be updated via My Account. 
  • Subscriptions require a valid default payment card to be linked to your account. This card will be used for payment in advance of each order being placed. In the event that a card payment is not successful, we will automatically make 2 further attempts to take the outstanding payment. These 2 further attempts will be made on the 3rd and 6th day after the original order due date. If the payment continues to be unsuccessful or your payment card has expired, the subscription order and any other requested products will not be dispatched. You will be notified if a payment has not been processed and will be required to update the payment information in your account for the order to be processed. If the payment method is still invalid during the final attempt to place the order, your subscription order will not be placed or sent, and the subscription will be cancelled. 
  • No discount codes/special offers may be applied to a subscription order unless otherwise specified. 
  • Prices are subject to change. We will notify subscribers of any changes to be made within a reasonable period of time via email, before the changes come into effect.

  • The following products are not available for Subscription Service’s outside of the UK; Vitamin Kitchen range, SOS Skin Shield+ range, Organic Vegan Hand Sanitiser range.
