Sustainable and vegan beauty products - registered by The Vegan Society

Over the last few years, there has been a massive increase of people going vegan. The Vegan Society found there are 600,000 vegans in Great Britain in 2018, or 1.16% of the population. The number of vegans doubled from up to 150,000 (0.25%) in 2014 to 276,000 (0.46%) in 2016, and – incredibly - doubled again from the 276,000 (0.46%) in 2016 to 600,000 (1.16%) in 2018. This means the number of vegans quadrupled between 2014 and 2018*. The Veganuary campaign - where people eat vegan for the month of January - grew by 183% in 2018, with a whopping 168,500 participants. That’s a lot of plant eating people.

However, for a lot of vegans, their choices go way beyond what’s on their fork and includes everything from what they wear, to what they buy and of course, what’s in their beauty bag. That’s where we come in.

Vegan Skincare

All of our products are cruelty-free (we never, ever test on animals) and we always say exactly what’s in each product, so you can make a choice that suits you. All of our products have always been both Vegetarian (we use beeswax in our balms, which is a waste product of the honey industry) & over 90% of them Vegan, we now have the independent seal of approval through our registration with The Vegan Society. This means, as a business, we’re supporting their ongoing work through a financial donation and in return, they have intensely investigated our products.

But don’t just take our word for it. Their experienced team have investigated all of our vegan products, to make sure that they have zero trace of animal ingredients, all the way from where our ingredients are sourced, to how the product is made and of course, the final result. Just look out for The Vegan Society sunflower symbol on our packaging for 100% vegan products.

Vegan Bath & Body

“We’re all about making the most sustainable choices possible and there’s no denying that veganism plays a big part in sustainability. I’m really proud to say that we have as many vegan options as we do, and to be registered with The Vegan Society is such an achievement. I have wanted this from our first day at Beauty Kitchen & it’s a journey of exploration to find the best partners that will support, guide & recommend ways to become Vegan” - Jo Chidley, Founder of Beauty Kitchen

To celebrate, we’re giving away a free 4 pack of Sustainable Celebrations until January 20th with every order 🎉
